Close Protection Training
18-day Level 3 SIA Close Protection Course
14-day Level 3 Close Protection Course (have a current SIA Door Supervisor License)
6-day Level 3 Close Protection Course (for former Special Forces, Royal Military Police, specialist Police Units)
To work as a close protection operative in the UK you are required to have:-
A Level 3 Close Protection Qualification
A Level 3 First Aid Qualification (First Aid at Work, 3-day minimum)
Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) certificates (free online)
An SIA Close Protection License
Course Syllabus
Instructors
This course is delivered by instructors from both the military and private sectors who have many years of operational experience in asset protection, working in the corporate sector, Ultra High Net Worth Families, UAE Royalty, and the Celebrity circuit.
Student Numbers
As a training provider, we need to deliver a level of excellence to our learners for them to provide a protective service at the highest levels. For us to achieve this we keep our student numbers to a maximum of 6 learners per course.
We also bring in experienced operatives to assist with the scenario-based training aspects of the course. Bringing experience into the training scenarios provides:-

On successful completion of the SIA Level 3 Close Protection course you will be given the opportunity to attend two of our training courses free of charge:-
Assessment
Assessment is by way of multiple choice questions and practical assessment including a 70-page evidence-based portfolio.
Some assessments will be filmed for internal quality assurance.
Students who successfully complete the course will be awarded a Level 3 Certificate for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry which has been developed and is awarded by Highfield Qualifications and sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The RQF is a Qualification Framework regulated by Ofqual. The qualification is also regulated by Qualifications Wales. This qualification is supported by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), which regulates the private security industry.
Successful Completion
On successful completion, you will be awarded the Level 3 Close Protection Operative qualification along with a course report and an opportunity to attend two courses free of charge.

Please note course fees do not include accommodation). Local holiday lets are arranged with up to 6 people sharing self-contained accommodation.
Accommodation cost for an 18-day course starts at approximately £500 per person.

Close Protection Training, (Top Up) is required to renew your SIA Close Protection License.
The top-up course/qualification is mandatory and was introduced in April 2022, and comprises of four units:-
The Top Up qualification includes a combination of knowledge and practical assessments as well as multi choice exams for each of the 4 modules.

The minimum First Aid qualification requirement is the Level 3 First Aid at Work (3 days) which must have at least 12 months left before expiry
