This is a one-day course based on research from:-

It is essential to have a good understanding of time and distance as a close protection operative not just for higher-threat tasks but also embarrassment and inconvenience for the principal.
- Security planning for events using space.
- Situation awareness
- How quickly can an attack be executed?
- How quickly can an attacker move over distances?
- Positioning concerning your Principal, the environment, and the type of event.
- Reaction time and initial response.
- Evacuation / Extraction of the Principal.
- Restraining the attacker and the Law.
This is a scenario-based course that includes self-defense, escalating, and de-escalating physical intervention.
A level of fitness is required.

- The speed at which an attacker with hidden hands can bring about a weapon and attack.
