Close Protection Driver

2-day security driver and defensive driving course for those working in the close protection industry.

Close protection drivers must be competent and confident advanced drivers in vehicle handling.

This is an intensive 2-day basic security / close protection driver course. This course equips participants with the fundamentals of effective close-protection driving skills. 

The course will include working as a solo CPO driver as well as in a team (convoy) with support vehicles.

• CP driving roles and responsibilities 
• Single, two and three-car drills and safe handling
• Understanding vehicle dynamic
• Driver responsibilities during Embus / Debus
• Situation awareness / EOPs

Assessment and Accreditation

Ongoing assessment of driving competence through practical tasks throughout the course.

CPD basic close protection driver certificate.
